IASP Conference

INDIAN ASSOCIATION FOR STUDIES IN POPULATION (IASP)
Thirty First conference of IASP will be held at Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, during November 3-5 2009. The main theme of the conference is "Population and Disease". 
Sub-themes
Reproductive health including maternal mortality, Child care, morbidity and mortality, Adolescent and adult health, Infectious and non communicable disease, Epidemiological transition, Disease burden-methodological issues, Sexual health, Methodological issues related to large sample surveys.

TA will be provided to the selected authors.
Awards
Chandra Sekharan Award:
Full paper submitted by young members (below 30 years) entitled for the award. The eligible members are requested to send the abstract by August 16,2009 along with age proof and full paper by September 5th 2009.Please note that the paper should not be of joint authorship.
Prof.K.B.Pathak Memorial Award:
The award would be presented to the author of the best paper in the field of Population and Health with significant contribution in terms of methodological innovation. The paper must have been published in any refereed journal on Population/Demography and Health in the past two years. The author must be below 40 years. The paper along with age proof must be sent to the General Secretary of IASP, before 15th September, 2009.
