The samples for Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, Kenya, Kyrgyz Republic, Panama, and the United States extend the pre-existing data series for those countries. The South Sudan sample is composed of cases that were formerly included in the Sudan 2008 dataset.

The data release includes approximately 40 new integrated and 2500 unharmonized source variables. In addition to these population microdata, we added more GIS boundary files as well as migration and mortality records for selected countries.

The database now contains records for
543,968,021 persons from 238 censuses in 74 countries. The collection is summarized on the samples page of our web site: http://ipums.us4.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=775cbf39c77535e784cdfd6f9&id=64d8ee5801&e=a710a5d345.

As always, all IPUMS data are available free of charge to researchers.Regards,
